6/23 Worms!!
Last week we had a full day of rain! And what comes with rain??? Earthworms on the porch, at least 15 of them! So we let Kaden go out and explore, stay tuned in the next few days, there should be a video up of Kaden "playing" with the worms.
Kaden's vocabulary seems to grow and grow. He tries to say "night-night" now when we put him to bed. Yesterday, he started saying "more" when he signed the word. And he says "ky" when we ask him to point the the sky. He is learning what noises animals make too. But one of my favorites is when we play pat-a-cake and say "mark it with a 'K.'" Kaden will try to say "K" but it comes out more like an excited "A." We'll try to get some video of him talking up soon, although he ususally stops when the camera is on.
6/17 Congratulations to Becky AND Welcome to the Family Dave!
June is the month of weddings...ours, Laura's parents, several of our friends, and now Laura's sister. We had a nice time at Becky's wedding on the beach yesterday. It was great to see so many people from our family. Kaden has started to get some stranger anxiety but seemed to warm up to everyone pretty quickly. He had quite a time dancing to the music and even cutting in and dancing with the bride! Here are some pictures that show how much fun we had...check Here for more.
In other news...watch out, Kaden can reach the door handle, and has figured out how to open the doors! And Happy Father's Day!
6/12 BANANA!
Learning to eat a "nana" on my own!
6/5 Catch-up
Since the last update, Kaden has been adjusting to life in the new house and we just celebrated our 2nd anniversary! Kaden really likes the little wading pool we got for him and he likes going on walks. He will stand at the door and say "bye-bye" when we are getting ready to go outside.
He is learning more everyday, today when he was ready to get out of the pool he signed "all done," he says kitty, and he knows that a duck says "quack" and a car says "vroom." And he's finally saying "Ma-Ma." He is fascinated with phones and will pick up any toy and hold it to his ear and say "hi." (Because we all know that even though the blue traffic light toy in his right hand looks like a traffic light, it is really a phone =) And yes, in the picture there is a long stream of drool, molars are starting to break through! He also likes to put things in and take them out of various containers. He carries around his bowl with his snacks, if they spill (or maybe it's intentional..hmmm...) he'll put them back in his bowl to eat them. And of utmost important, we discovered this weekend that he likes shrimp!
We tried to upload pictures the other day, and for some reason it didn't work. Check Flickr today or tomorrow for more new pictures.
